2023 Southern Supper

SOUTHERN REINS CENTER FOR EQUINE THERAPY’S 2nd SOUTHERN SUPPER RAISES OVER $60,000 TO HELP PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES THROUGHOUT THE MID-SOUTH

Memphis, TN, November 16, 2023 – The illustrious Memphis Hunt and Polo Club was the perfect setting for a memorable evening of Southern charm and philanthropy on November 9, 2023. Proudly presented by ContractingPRO, this special gathering brought together 187 guests to celebrate the spirit of Southern hospitality in support of Southern Reins Center for Equine Therapy’s programs that benefit people with special needs in our community.

The evening kicked off with a delightful cocktail hour featuring live music by Bonfire Orchestra, setting the perfect ambiance for an unforgettable night. As the night deepened, guests were treated to a sumptuous family-styled Southern dinner, expertly paired with select wines, and enjoyed the warm camaraderie of individuals passionate about making a difference.

This event raised an impressive $62,000 to sustain and grow Southern Reins services, providing transformative physical, mental, and emotional benefits to children and adults with disabilities and hardships across the Mid-South. Program participants gain independence and improve their quality of life through their interactions with our therapy horses, and working with horses can have a significant impact to improve the daily life skills for people with a wide variety of physical disabilities, cognitive delay, and emotional challenges.

Southern Reins Center for Equine Therapy is a non-profit charitable organization that relies on the generosity of individuals, businesses, foundations, and partner organizations to make its programs possible. “We are grateful to have served more than 900 children and adults with disabilities and hardship throughout our community”, said Southern Reins Vice Chairman of the Board, Kim Jordan, who hosted the event alongside her husband, Bryan. “The funds raised at Southern Supper will go a long way to ensuring that our mission continues to impact lives in a meaningful way, and we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our event sponsors, donors, attendees, and volunteers for their unwavering support and dedication to our cause”.
