Adaptive Discovery Summer Camp
Adaptive Discovery Camp at Southern Reins Center for Equine Therapy is a four-day summer camp created for children who love to explore, learn by doing, and connect with animals in a peaceful farm setting.
This inclusive camp blends outdoor adventure, hands-on activities, and meaningful, unmounted interaction with our therapy horses in a supportive small-group environment. Campers build confidence, creativity, and friendships while enjoying nature-based activities and fun STEAM projects inspired by life on the farm.
Each day follows a consistent and comforting routine that helps children feel safe, supported, and successful. Campers take part in cooperative games, creative projects, and guided horse activities such as grooming, observing, and learning how to care for and communicate with our horses. These experiences encourage responsibility, emotional awareness, and positive social interaction. Adaptive Discovery Camp is a wonderful fit for children with sensory processing differences, ADHD, autism, developmental delay, or anxiety, as well as children who thrive in calm, structured outdoor settings. No prior horse experience is needed.
Adaptive Discovery Camp is offered Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM during three sessions: June 15–18, June 22–25, and July 13–16. Enrollment is limited to 15 campers per week to ensure individualized attention and meaningful connections. Cost is $350 per participant. Camp is held at Southern Reins Center for Equine Therapy.
