THIS IS OUR (Facebook Post) (Website).png

Southern Reins' mission is to serve individuals with physical, cognitive, and emotional disabilities and hardship by providing equine-assisted services to empower, inspire, nurture, and succeed. Thanks to the incredible generosity of donors like you, we are able to subsidize the cost of every lesson we offer to help improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities in our community.

8 Programs

Our programs include Adaptive Horseback Riding, PATH Intl. Equine Services for Heroes, Therapy and Education Activities for Children with Horses, and Making Strides Recreation Therapy.

512 Participants

Since 2015 we have served over 500 individuals with disabilities and hardship representing 48 diagnoses including autism, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, PTSD, trauma, and more.

1,805 Lessons

This year alone, Southern Reins has provided more than 1,800 hours of instruction for people with special needs to improve their quality of life, enhance life skills, and provide emotional and social wellbeing.

While these numbers are important, they only tell part of our story. Behind every number are stories of individuals overcoming incredible challenges to get stronger and become more independent. Behind every number are stories of veterans who find peace and purpose through the healing power of horses. Behind every number is a story of hope, a story of triumph, and a story of joy. Donate today to be a part of someone else's story.
