The morning of the 147th Kentucky Derby once again saw the roar of the crowds at Churchill Downs, and in the greater Memphis area, small groups gathered for their own watch parties all across the city. With COVID-19 restrictions still in place, Southern Reins hosted its signature Jockeys & Juleps fundraising event - virtually - for the second year in a row.

While we always look forward to the return of hundreds of well-dressed guests for our trademark BIG HATS, BOURBON, and BLUEGRASS celebration, we were grateful to honor the incredible support of our sponsors with Derby Day Celebration Boxes and decor to enjoy the most exciting two minutes in sports with family and friends.

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, event donors, and bourbon pull raffle ticket proceeds, this year's event raised more than $180,000 to support our program and help people with disabilities and hardship experience the incredible benefit of working with horses to improve their quality of life.
